I'm a proud PACE alumna, and I'm so grateful for the opportunities the program provided. The access to advanced coursework is unparalleled, and the stellar teachers inspired me to push myself and think big. My AP Chemistry teacher, for example, is the person who encouraged me to pursue a PhD. Through her, I was able to participate in a biomedical clinical research program at Cedars Sinai, along with a small group of other PACE students. Working side by side with physician scientists on actual medical research is an experience almost unheard of for high school students. The PACE program opened my eyes to new possibilities and equipped me with knowledge and skills that have served me well throughout my career.
